  I have been attending Clayton Vally for about 2 years now. I have to say, Shannon, you just about covered everything except for one thing. Pastor Chris not only is totally awesome, his family is just as awesome as him! The example they set as a family structure really sets the theme of our church family as a whole. I never thought I would feel at home here in California like I have back in New York but CVC gave me that "At home" feeling" back.

  Coming here for about 4 months and I found what I've been looking for... Found my family church. God truly spoke to me and to my heart via the pastor, various deacons, and everybody also - seen it as the "Body Of Christ" - and realizing that people of there are under the incidence of the Holy Spirit!

  About three years ago, our family visited Clayton Valley Church and never left! We were welcomed as we were and had found people who valued fellowship, who's teaching was rooted in scripture, and who encouraged each other to actively serve others. They had just gotten a new Pastor who turned out to be totally awesome (but they probably knew that!) -very honest, relatable, and no-nonsense when it comes to walkin' the talk.
  
  I guess I'd call it a mid-sized church, 200 or so on a good Sunday morning. If you want to come and go, you can. If you want to come and get totally plugged in, you can! Lots of Bible studies and small groups to choose from and various outreach opportunities throughout the year.
  
  If I don't go on Sunday I miss it, and when I go I always learn something new. I have made friends here who are irreplacable, and my non-christian husband feels comfortable going. Good stuff here.
